Rasperian Linux based 2 x 16 LCD display 17 keys Easy to setup and operate Uses printer power supply Windows based label template design tool Real time clock USB printer interface White or charcoal grey case PS2 port for external keyboard 1 year warranty The 970 is a standalone keypad design for use with the Bixolon SLP series of label printers. It is most suited for use with the SLP-DX220 where is can be used for price marking applications but can be used for any application where the user wishes to print labels without having to connect the printer to a PC. The 970 can store a large number of predefined label templates which are quickly and easily designed using the supplied Windows based template designer tool and can include fixed data, variable data and barcodes. Once downloaded into the keypad, the user simple selects the template the wish to use, keys in data based on the prompts on screen (quantity, price etc) and selects the number of labels to print. Connection is made simple thanks to a power pass through cable supplied with the keypad which means that only a single PSU is required to power both the printer and keypad. The 970 has two USB port, an Ethernet port and a PS2 port for connecting an external barcode scanner or alphanumeric keyboard. Bluetooth and Wifi options are also available. An SDK is also available for users who wish to generate templates via their own application. The 970 series is available in both light and dark grey cases to match the Bixolon printer range.
